Did I or Didn’t I??.
I was bad! Not completely bad though… I had a mouthful of pasta. I don’t normally like the tomato based sauce that the bf has on it – but it was sooo nice lol. I hope I haven’t messed things up but then again I only had 2 juices yesterday so hopefully that will make up for it. My stomach could tell it wasn’t used to it though.. ohhh the pain!
I’m drinking a super juice this morning. I must have made it different slightly because it tastes nicer
Unless I’m getting so used to them now. Today I have a shopping afternoon planned and I’m really looking forward to it. I might take a look in next at dresses for this wedding but I’m not 100% sure yet. All I know is it will be fun to get out
I have to be good today. No solids whatsoever. Period.
Passion 4 Juice Master Smoothie!.
Just finished it.. Mmm it was really nice! Banana, apple, pineapple, natural yoghurt and spirulina. I was informed this is actually used for fish food which put me off a bit but if it’s that nutritious I will give it a go.
It made a nice change to have a slightly thicker texture than all of the other juices but to be honest they all taste very similar apart from the ones with celery in. They seem to have a slightly tangy kick to them. I’m still kind of in shock at how I’m coping with this. I think deep down I have a lot more willpower than I first thought. The ultimate test will be tonight though when the boyfriend is having pasta for dinner. I absolutely love pasta – I only buy the wholewheat stuff though so that’s a bonus. I’ll keep you posted!
My first bad side effect.
I woke up this morning and felt pretty bad. I think late nights don’t work with this plan – after waking my head has been slightly fuzzy all day so I haven’t managed to get to the gym. I’ve had one juice today so far – The Lemon/Ginger Zinger which is probably my favourite of the bunch – It contains carrots, lemon, apples and ginger and for once it’s not green yay!
I’m planning on having another juice soon as I’m feeling rather peckish. The weird thing is I’m not craving chocolate or sweeties but I am craving poached eggs on toast and cous cous (not together of course!!)
So this is day 3. I didn’t think I would last this long so with any luck I will reach day 7 without a problem.
End of day two.
That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, although I’ve only had two juices today… along with some juice I picked up in tesco. We popped their earlier and the boyfriend decided to have a duck wrap with hoisin sauce. I don’t eat duck but it sure smelt yummy! I had to have something as I was feeling peckish, so I got a new 100% pure fresh juice product by Del Monte with pineapple, apple, grape, orange juice in it and no additives or sugar. It tastes really nice actually and I recommend it
I haven’t had any bad side effects yet. In fact I’ve had a good one! My skin feels sooo soft! I hope it’s to do with this detox. I’ve heard of people breaking out in spots, getting bad headaches and feeling really tired but I’ve got none of those problems. I think it’s because I dont smoke or drink alcohol. My only vice is chocolate and sweetie things!… or should that be was?
Going well so far….
Just got back from the gym.. that was quite a workout! I did an hour on various cardio machines but I must admit I was struggling for the last 10 minutes! This morning was really hard – the boyfriend decided it would be nice for him to have crossiants for breakfast – warmed up in the oven. The smell was soo good – I normally buy “healthy living” ones for me, if there is such a thing.. but I just got out of the house as fast as I could and got down the gym.
Its quite odd going every day – you see the same faces pretty much daily.. and I actually know some of the guys that go there that were on my university course. It’s nice from a social aspect as well as a health one. I am a little happier than I was this morning too. I’m not hungry, I have no side effects and I have actually been to the toilet! I didn’t quite get to the part in the book that recommends buying some weird powder type stuff that acts as fibre in the diet and add it to the smoothies… which was supposed to aid toilet breaks so I ordered it yesterday but of course it hasn’t arrived yet.

Lemon Water.
I’m sat here now drinking a mug of hot water over a slice of lemon. I’ve had this before as weight watchers recommends you start the day with it… Admittedly I’ve started today a little late but I think I needed the sleep.
I’m going to have an orange juice for breakfast I think instead of a vegetable one though. I don’t think my stomach could take it just now. When I get back from the gym I’ll have my first vegetable smoothie of the day! My knee high boots arrived this morning. Thankfully they have laces at the back and a zip at the front or they would never have gotten around my huge calf muscles! They look pretty cool on though – I wonder if I could wear them clubbing.
Best be off and get ready for the gym… It’s so tempting to go, but after seeing the results 4 weeks has done.. I need to be 100% committed.
First Day Over.
Well that’s the first day fully over.. I am sitting here drinking a mug of mint tea… which doesn’t taste of much, but I’m hoping it will curb the hunger until the morning… There is no way I could drink a juice this time of night!
If the rest of the time is anything like this, I think I’ll be ok. I’m missing food a little though – but thankfully there is nothing bad in the house for me to demolish

Turbo Express.
I’ve just finished my third juice of the day. I was feeling really peckish and the smell of nachos with grated mozzerella cheese wafting from the kitchen weren’t helping matters! The juice I have just polished off is known as “Turbo Express” which involves pineapple, celery, cucumber, spinach, lime, apples and avocado. This one was a little thicker than the previous two, and as I got to the bottom of the cup, I started to feel a little queezy.
It tastes nice though. In fact all three I’ve had so far taste pretty much the same – the apples must stop it from becoming too bitter. I’m hoping that will be it for tonight though as I don’t really fancy making another juice. I could always have some hot lemon water or mint tea instead
I don’t feel too bad though – no side effects! I don’t have a headache, I don’t feel tired… But then the only toxins I really had was the chocolate type! Thankfully I’m a non smoker, I don’t drink.. so this should hopefully be a breeze
Day 1 nearly over… 6 days to go x
2nd Juice Down!.
I’ve just finished making my 2nd juice for today… This one is called “Super Chute Juice” and has some more weird and wonderful ingredients. I had to omit two of them though (raw beetroot and courgette) because I couldnt find them in store. This juice consists of apples, carrot, celery, watercress, parsley, spinach, cucumber, brocolli, alfalfa sprouts, lemon and ginger. The consistancy of this juice is a little thinner than the last, and it is bright green! It looks like an uncleaned pond with all the frothy stuff on the top!
I actually don’t mind it though! I’m sat here drinking it whilst my evil boyfriend is sitting in the living room munching on doritos and dip – he is so supportive as you can tell! It isn’t bothering me though because I know I am doing my body good by doing this inside and out! I NEVER eat this much fruit and veg in one week let alone one day! I absolutely hate celery and spinach too but drinking it isn’t a problem!
Tonight there are two more juices I’m supposed to have, although it says if i’m not hungry not to have them. If I do, I’ll let you know how they go down!
I was planning on going and looking for the wedding outfit again this afternoon but I have so much work today after a late start back from the gym that I think I’ll leave it until later in the week. Another bonus with this juicing is that it takes so little time to make breakfast, lunch and dinner!

7lbs in 7 days….
Ok, ok I knew I said fad diets were very bad and that I’d tried every one under the sun… but this new plan seemed pretty healthy to give a try. 7lbs in 7 days is a juicing plan, supposedly the one that Jordan followed to get back to her svelte figure after having her second baby.
It involves drinking smoothies and juices for 7 days with plenty of exercise in order to shift the bulge! From reading through the book it looks pretty simple, and it involves plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables – many of which I wouldn’t normally eat.
Late last night, I did a tesco.com order and ordered in everything I would need for the first 3 days of the plan. To my surprise it came to around £30 but I figure it will be worth it if it works. I headed straight to the health food store this morning to get hold of spirulina, wheatgrass, alfalfa sprouts and super probiotics before heading to the gym where I did an hour and a half workout yay
When I got back, my food order had arrived, and I was faced with bags and bags of fresh vegetables, fruits and natural yoghurt. I filled the fridge (literally!) with all of these unusual goodies and put every bad thing that John likes near the bottom. I’ve taken over the kitchen!
This morning I couldn’t have the recommended lemon and warm water or juice to start, so I drank a glass of pure orange juice for breakfast. It probably wasn’t really enough to work out on, but I didn’t want to ruin the first say of the plan with solids like toast or cereal.
My main worry was, and still is (I haven’t tried all of the juices!) is the look, colour and taste of each one. The only juice I have ever drunk is conventional ones… orange, pineapple, cranberry, and one I made myself carrot and apple which is actually quite nice! I overcame my first juice fears by drinking what is known as “JM’s Super Juice” which is a mix of apple, pineapple, cucumber and lime juice blended with 1/4 avocado, wheatgrass juice, spirulina and probiotic powder. The colour was rather pond water like but it tasted really nice! At least there’s one I like so far!
That’s all I’ve had so far, I’m feeling pretty good – slightly hungry but my next juice is planned very soon which involves all sorts of green vegetables. I’m more worried about this one I must admit. Wish me luck!
